It’s important to know that as a believer, you are not left on your own to cope with the problems the world will lay before you. But….you do have to be willing to ask God for help, in accordance with His will. His will…NOT yours and NOT mine. WE frequently don’t understand HIS will. In this life time, we probably never will. We know that Romans 8:28 tell us ” that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”. This doesn’t mean that everything that happens to us is good. IF it were, we wouldn’t seek God’s comfort. We would be content with the world’s comfort. After all, by nature, we are earthly with earthly desires.

There is much evil in this world. God is able to turn any situation around for His purpose and our good. His overall purpose, however, may not be EXACTLY what makes us happy and what we perceive to be for our good. Those who are called, are those who the Holy Spirit convinces to receive Christ. However, one must be hungry for Christ and want this relationship and be willing to BE STILL, LISTEN and TRUST, and receive HIS GRACE. It doesn’t just come automatically. Like all things in life, it requires work and sacrifice on our part. Anything worth having is worth fighting for. God is willing to fight for you, but you have to want it and be willing to fight for HIM as well. Trust in God, not life’s treasures. Look for security in Heaven, not Earth. As difficult as it is, don’t trade pain and persecution for resentment, anger, and hate. Remember what Jesus went through- His whole life until the moment He died on the cross. As a human, He felt weak toward the end also. He asked God, that if it be His will “may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will” Matthew 26:39 and as He hung on the cross, he said this: “Eli,Eli, Lena sabachthani” or “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” Then He gave up his spirit and three days later became our Risen Savior. You see, God took the evil of the world and changed it for His purpose and our good. I bet it sure didn’t seem like it at the time to Mary and the disciples, and all of the other believers. Trust God and allow Him to wrap His loving arms around you. Feel Him even when you are weak and weary. It’s your journey with HIM…if you will only TRUST HIM and LET HIM LEAD YOU.
